The race season is at mid-point and we've been busy building, tuning, and racing. This is a really tough game and if you're not working at improving, you're going backwards. We have found plenty of power in our 2009 Honda 450s, yet we are still trying to figure some chassis and suspension ideas out to get all that horsepower to the ground. We have had several races where we qualify in the top 5, yet our end race results don't seem to match our speed. We are trying some new ideas again with our chassis and we believe that we got this figured out.

Having 3 riders on the team this year is a challenge, yet really alot of fun. We are working together with our ideas and feedback, and by putting our heads together we keep getting better and better each race.

Matt had his first podium finish with a 3rd at Lima. Lima is a tough, deep cushion track, but exactly the kind of track that Matt excels in. We are all quite proud of Matt and we know his first win is coming very soon. Matt, although is the middle aged rider on our team, is the most experienced racer, and would be our "Veteran" of the team. Matt and his family are absolutely awesome and wonderful to be racing with.

Ion is coming along nicely. I can't think of anyone who works harder, and wants it more than Ion. Both at the track and at the shop, Ion is a workhorse and always willing to help or do anything you ask. Ion is an ultra aggressive rider, which is a big plus, but sometimes we need to tune him down alittle, go slow to go fast sort of thing. Ion's talent and drive are there, yet he has been racing for just a few years and we are sure with more experience, he will be a star in the GNC circles. Ion is a huge asset to our team and we are proud to have him involved.

Mikey is also coming along nicely. We see that he is learning and improving with every race, and Mikey is realizing how fast and tough all the riders are at this level. Moving to the 2009 Hondas has provided some challenges for Mikey, but as his experience and confidence continue to grow, so will his results. Mikey is the new kid on the block in the Pro Singles Class that he is racing in, almost every race he is the top "Rookie" finisher behind the several riders that have been riding this class for a couple years already. We are sure that Mikey will grow in to a top contender as his experience deepens.

As for business, it's been good. We have sold quite a few engine kits, built quite a few engines, and our results are all excellent. We're proud to say the RHC equipped bikes have been dominant at the Singles Nationals, both in qualifying and race results. Each of our customers have given us great feedback, and our dyno numbers are all excellent. Ron Hamp is one of the best, most intelligent engine development people in the industry, and his continued work and improvement make our RHC Products the benchmark for Flat Track racing engines. We continue to work and improve so we can offer the best parts for sale to all our customers.

We are pulling hard for Henry Wiles to keep up his torrid pace and win some more races and ultimately the GNC #1 plate. Henry is on fire right now, and as he keeps learning he will keep getting better and faster. That's scary to think about. Henry is the "Original" MDR rider and we are quite proud of him!

Thanks for reading, and if you have any needs, give us a call!
